Radio National is an ode to the humble wireless, that has entertained countless generations. Written in the front room of guitarist John’s house, anxiously awaiting updates on the Wooroloo bushfires, he switched between stations to get updates; listening to thousands of gripping songs, stories, speeches, and conversations over the airwaves.
Nominated for WAM Song of the Year for Rock and A Song for Sophie
Streetlights have emerged as an exciting five piece indie-rock band from the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Made up of brothers John and Pearse Topliss, cousins Ethan Gosatti and Tony Menegola and Brad Watson on bass, they have cemented themselves as a key player in Western Australia’s indie scene. Streetlights have produced a diverse range of music but are most recognisable for their indie-pop earworms. Releases vary from their indie-pop anthem “Murray Street” and extend to expressive Pop Punk through their debut EP “Bad Actors”.
